Finally finished stereo upgrade

Since I did all the work myself it took a long to complete. The car is a daily driver, so I had to do it without disabeling the car or sounds.I kept the oem stereo, for my wife & I it works just fine. Here how it goes.Replaced battery with Optima yellow top,Replace terminals with Streetwires terminals, ran 4Gauge power cable to 1 farad Streetwires capictor,to a McIntosh MC440 amp ran in 5 channels. From the stereo I tapped into the balanced outputs to go to the Audio Control DQXS electronic x-over & equalizer, mounted remote controller in cubby above stereo. For sub I am using a 4080 box I wrapped in suede with a JL Audio 10w1v2. I also covered all trunk panels in suede & the false floor in vinyl to match interior. For the doors I chose to do something a little differnt than most.I went with a 3way set up with MB Quart rce104 & rce164.I ran 2pr 12g. speaker wire into the doors.I also used 40 sqft of dynamat supreme through out the car.Cables used are from Streetwires & Monster Cable. For the rear I removed the factory 6x9's & grills and covered the rear deck in black suede. For the rear sides I kept the stock amp & speakers, but they are ran thru the eq.They work just fine since they are for just rear fill only.

Uh... put all your pics in ONE post (or multiple posts in same thread) and delete the other two.

it does look really nice, awesome job!

I like the fact that you kept the stock head unit. This is the direction I would go if I did an audio upgrade in the G. I like the controls on the steering wheel too much now to change it I only wish it had a mute button.

Great job, maybe one of these days mine will be done. Just a idea, grill cloth would look sweet with those fronts. It would make them match, just a idea.

Thanks, I saw your post before, looks great. There would'nt really be any way to do that to the MB Quart grills because of the way the ring has to be atached to the door before you screw in the speaker. The rings are color matched just like the woofer grill. Can't wait to see your's when it is done.
