Houston G Riders! - December Meet

I have an idea for a December meet! No, its not a twisty Cato drive.....no its not a GTown run........How about giving a little holiday spirit to some underprivileged kiddos?

Last year, we found this really cool program, Elves & More. All you have to do is show up at the Reliant Center and spend a couple of hours (or as long as you want) building bikes! Easy stuff for a bunch of G Riders!

Flo and I will be at the Reliant on Saturday morning December 17th around 9:00 am and we will stay for a few hours to around noon. I think it would be a great idea if you could join us this year and volunteer some of your time as our December G meet!

I posted a few pics from last year and a link to the website.

Visualize 13,000 brand-new bicycles and 12,000 Treasure Boxes packed with 100,000 gifts loaded into more than 100 large trucks and delivered to 25,000 underprivileged children in entire neighborhoods, all on a surprise basis on December 23rd, with Santa at the front.

I am thinking of going on the 17th also...hopefully in a brand new G!!!!! Homie, if you get a truck in on the 13th or 14th look for a DG coupe with VIN ending 703834. That will be my baby, make sure you take care of her! And no, I dont mean give her the break-in special

I don't know about meeting up early...just making it to the Reliant by 9 will be a challenge for me

This is what I posted on 350Z.........

The PLAN is to meet at around 9am on Saturday 12/17 at the Reliant.....we already have about 10 motohouston riders coming and looks like quite a few Z riders and a few of G riders....

We can all meet inside at the video.......when you enter the glass doors of the Reliant, you'll come up to the sign in tables....once you sign in, they send you to watch a movie......over to one side will be a projection screen and a bunch of chairs.....they show you a 5 minute movie to "get you in the mood" of giving.....we can meet at the back of the rows of chairs.......the biker group should be easy to spot cause they should be all wearing leathers and carrying helmets

jenn.........building the bikes is pretty easy, they are mostly assembled already, just attach the wheels, handle bars, pedals and reflectors....we worked as a 2 person team last year.....you can pair up with a more experienced person.....any volunteers to work with jenn? anyone?
